I guess I should put more effort into this presentation.
A wild mix of everything I like:
* Drag racing
* Jet engines, especially the one I am involved in building (svarthaletracing.se)
* Music
* Technology, especially electronics
* DIY
I try to stay a bit unique, but since everything has already been done it's not easy. If the image quality is bad, maybe the focus was on sound. If both image and sound is crappy, maybe the content itself would be interesting enough.

Varvtalsregulator för alla motorer med elektroniskskt gasreglage. Regulatorn i videon installerades på en Hyundai Seasall L600 marin dieselmotor i en båt med ställbar propeller. Utan varvtalsregulator är båten så gott som okörbar, då motorns varvtal sjunker kraftigt så fort propellerns stigning ökar. Med regulator håller motorn ett jämnt varvtal oavsett propellerns läge. This engine is something of a musical star. It's been used as a "drum machine" in at least 2 UA-cam videos. The Swedish blues singer Bottleneck John sang "You can't get that stuff no more" to the rhythm of this engine - "Hot Bulb Blues"- and I have seen another band playing "Lover Come Back to Me" with this same engine. For both of those videos, the engine was running more evenly, whereas here it sounds as if it has "hit and miss" ignition.

I use to have blue prints of the original V1 engine. I built and tested a lot of smaller engines in my work shop. I have a lathe, mill, 2 welders. I wanted to build a full size V1 engine some day but 1986 the FEDS came with a search warrant and too everything I had. About 2010 I long interest in pulse jet engines. I have 10 or 12 good running engines I would like to sell.

You may want to weld a flared rocket nozzle extension on the tail pipe just like the big sled that way it fires up better and faster
Yes that might do the trick. This engine is an old relic by now and we learnt a lot from building the large one.
@@LinusNil Have you done any runs with your big pulse jet sled? I still can't believe that thing pushed you along at 150MPH! Just incredible!
It's almost two years since we last ran the big sled. That run ended up in quite a big need for repairs which we have not done yet. I think the (unofficial) top speed was about 160 mph.

Nice video Linus!! I too am fascinated by the simplicity here. Unfortunately I have a Bennmar Course Setter 21 and the compass is stuck. The compass card it is encased in fluid which is clear however Bennmar says that it has a mechanical pivot stuck issue. I am researching on substituting a compass.. but not sure if I should just buy a autopilot (NAC-1)controller which uses nmea2000 , use my Lowrance FS9 Elite nmea2000 as the front end , with my HELM-1 type drive unit? Any thoughts are most appreciated?
To be honest I don't have much to say about that. I am actually not very experienced with old auto pilots so I have to learn on the go so to say.

This is more or less max with this setup. We have reached speeds of about 260 kmph, but the speed is depending on a lot of factors so it varies a bit from run to run. Usually we never shut down before the end of the track unless something feels really wrong.

No, the engine is a 4 cyl 2,2 CIH originally from the Rekord / Carlton. The intake manifold is a shortened 6 cyl 3.0 CIH though.
Hi Linus Nil, I do own the same auto pilot system. I'm having an issue with my 504 compass. The inner copper sliding contact ring is worn out in the middle and therefore not working anymore. Do you have any solutions? Best regards Jonka

The description is incorect. There was no 1.5 DCI on 4x4 Kangoo, only gas and 1.9 Diesel.
This is not a 4x4 Kangoo and it never was.
Sleds do that in the 1/4 mile.
Do what? 0-250 kmph? Yes, some may do. And they are equipped with modern engines, not ancient crap that no one (except for us) really use any more :)

The suspension seems locked and this has a result to have axles with no pressure or others with more pressure especially on the ramps at the end. Suspension must be unlocked to my opinion.
suspension is not locked.. it's raised max and out of travel. that's why wheels leave the ground. and you need to do that so front/rear overhang clears when you driving of this barge.
I'm wearing headphones to this and the startup actually scared the shit out of me.
i dare say there is still a few crated new engines in sweden the centurion tank was was still in service in the late 70s i had a running mk 2b one with the roller rockers starter always sounded like a bag of ball bearings
